reasons I have not been blogging:
1. Sick horse that requires massive amounts of nursing and kindliness from me.
2. Writer in residence gig is going well but going hard! Workshops all over the island, office appointments, you name it. I’ve met dozens, if not hundreds of wonderful writers (and readers) from all walks of life and I’m not done yet. I think the library could have two full time writers in residence and they’d both be busy.
3. Two books approaching completion. I know I keep saying that, but then they both require another draft or more research or a new chapter. You know how books are. Disobedient. Willful.
4. Too busy watching Homicide: Life on the Street. In the five free minutes I have at the end of each day. In other words, it’s taking me a while to get through it.
5. Christmas is coming and I have to spend a certain amount of time worrying about that. You know. When will I put up the lights? What will I get people? How many chocolates can I justify buying due to it being the holiday season. Critical concerns. I’m sure deeper concerns about the meaning of the holiday and how I can be of service to humanity will follow soon.
But even though I’m not blogging, others are. Some of them are even blogging about my book. I send the following bloggers best wishes and sincere gratitude!
Joelle Anthony
I got to meet Joelle last week and she’s a delight. And a knitter.
Until we meet again…
