You are all invited to my decidedly non-poetic reading and talk on Monday, September 20 at 4:00 in the Library Writing Centre (4th Floor, Rm. 474) at Vancouver Island University. I will be reading from The Woefield Poultry Collective and from my work-in-progress, Bright’s Purpose and talking about writing YA and switching between genres.
Poet Renee Masur will be reading some of her poetry to start us off.
After the reading, the festivities will move to 355/211 (the Liberal Arts Lounge) for a combination book launch for Keith Harrison’s new book, The Missionary, The Violinist and the Aunt Whose Head Was Squeezed — only the best title of any book this year — and the start-of-term creative writing Shindig.
We hope you can join us!
