Tomorrow I head to Minneapolis to join the party at the NCTE (National Conference of Teachers of English). I’m going to finally meet my U.S. editor, the magnificent Sharyn November, face-to-face, and we’ll be taking part in a roundtable session called Guiding Writers: Bringing the Author/Editor Relationship to the Classroom, Fri., November 20th from 11:00 – 12:15 (Minneapolis Conference Centre, Rm 103).
NOT ONLY THAT! I will also be signing and giving away copies of The Truth Commission in the ALAN Booth (#211) from 1:00 – 2:00 and giving away and signing copies at the Penguin Young Readers booth (#316) from 3:00 – 4:00 that day.
Beyond excited to meet the Penguin team and I’m going to attempt to be cool when I meet the other authors, including T.A. Barron, C. Alexander London, Lynda Mullaly Hunt, Nikki Loftin, Ingrid Law, Lisa Graff, Stacey Lee, Marilyn Singer, Padma Venkatraman, Lauren Magaziner, Maile Meloy, Matt de la Pena, Laurie Halse Anderson, Jacqueline West and so many more. I will fail in this attempt.
If you’re at NCTE: come see me! It will make you feel better about your social skills!
